Does anyone have a METAL gear for the pump motor they can part with?
I bought a new kit a couple of months ago and it has a plastic gear.
The front on the gear popped of, it's just super glued on.
I glued it back, but IF there is a metal gear, I would like that.
I can buy a clapped out system if that is what I need to do.
Thanks

If you go to a "power transmission" shop, like Miller Bearing, you should be able to get what you want. I got one that was one tooth larger, to give me more pump/fan speed; on my race car.

I have never seen anything but plastic.

Only time I had a problem was when belt was too tight =
I run the belt fairly loose now.

If you want another complete Moroso set up, I'll trade you for the 600 Holley we talked about.

Moroso makes a 14 tooth pulley for the motor to replace the 10 tooth that really speeds up to pump!

You need to be carefull, how large a pulley you use. A larger pulley puts more load on the motor, and causes a high(er) current draw. It is possible to overheat the motor, and ruin it. There is a balance of the motor speed/load, and the running time

I have not run into a problem with the motors.
I have forgot to turn them off (I am Old) and ran them
for several days with the big pulley when trailering the race
cars home and the worst that has happened was I had a dead battery,
I believe the motor is a GM heater motor design from the 60/70s and has
a very long cycle life.
