Need big block help

-
I usually end up around 35* on street/strip BBM.

As for the seal, they all take a 2 piece.
However there is a one piece available.
I think it’s from “Fastfish”.
I believe you have to slit it for the install.

I only personally know of one installation of one of those, which was fine at first, then failed miserably after about a year.
It basically just “disintegrated” and oil was just running right out.

We use the one piece seal on all big block Mopar engines. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but it has been the most successful of all of the current choices. Rear main leaks are the worst thing about building a BB Mopar engine.

I agree with 35 degrees. We set all BB Mopar engines at 35 degrees.

I used the one piece brown coloured 'Fastfish' seal in a 440 & it leaked also.
In a 455 Pontiac, the same type of one piece brown coloured seal disintegrated. I wonder if there a batch of faulty material?
