neutral safety switch/ back up lights

Hello there everyone, I bought a neutral safety switch/ back up light switch and I tried to install it yesterday but the problem is is that it is too big and it will not clear the trans pan rail so I lost fluid and some money in the switch. I am wondering if anyone knows what part number I need for a smaller switch.
