Hello everyone. Just purchased a 68 fastback barracuda in the beginning of june. been sitting in a back yard since '85. Planning on getting it back on the road and potentially swapping out the 225 for a big block in the future.

Welcome to FABO from another SoCal member. You're going to have fun here - lots of great people willing to help with any questions you may have.
What are your build plans for your new project beyond the big block swap?
Is that an earlier Barracuda in the background of the top pick? You may find some interested FABO members if it is available.

Thanks for having me lol. I've known of this forum awhile my brother is a member. Well beyond the swap would be getting the correct seats in it, came with 69 front buckets and lower portion of the rear seat. Already gathered parts for manual steering conversion and big bolt pattern front disc brakes - just need some wheels. Eventually body work as well, probably will need at least 1 quarter panel, drivers side. Just make it a decent looking and running street/strip car.

Oh and yea that's an earlier barracuda in the back. The guy I got the car from also had two 65 v8 4 speed cars and a 69 rt se 440 charger. A friend of mine ended up with the charger the same day I picked up my car.

Lol I thought about it fastfish but the roof was beginning minor pitting already so I took it down to bare before it got worse. Also started removing bondo from both quarters behind the tire on the driver side and between the tire and door on the passenger

Right on thanks Bob. Yea I've loved them ever since I was a kid. My parents have a 67 notchback with a small block and a 67 fastback formula s factory 383 car, grew up helping work on those.
