few months ago my 63 valiant signet 2door mint was hit and totaled so I been looking for new Projects and today I closed the deal on a TRAILDUSTER with the removeable top.
Thinking 5.7l Hemi and to just do alittle body work and make it a good runner and driver the overall car is very solid still has the orange paint on the floors just needs to be cleaned up, and repaint the entire car Hemi orange with wood trim delete. may eventually make it my daily driver.Making Lemonade!
What are your plans for it?
probably just stock height coil overs and stick with 33s it has 33inch toyos on it right now and seems plenty high. Will you keep factory suspension or lift kit it? 33's or 35' would look great.

Yeah only thing I need to source at the moment is a transmission then gonna focus on collecting parts for a 5.7l hemi swap, I got really lucky as far as all the little bits and bobs being there still has cigarette Ashtrays in the rear seat most the trucks I've seen those are missing. Dash is also straight no cracks car is nearly complete besides the missing instrument from the far left of the dash left of the driver Guage cluster and original steering wheel. I'll get more pictures of missing stuff tomorrow maybe you guys can help me out with letting me know what is missing.Hey, looks familiar...
Mine is a 2wd, got it about 3 months ago. Here's a quick tip for you. Find a hard surface that you can comfortably bang your head against.
If you've ever thought finding parts for you 63 Valiant was tough, just wait until you start sourcing parts for the TD! Get to know the local junkyards and search out the TD/RC parts groups on Facebook.
The 81+ up Ramcharger (TD), no problem finding parts. 74-80 is infuriating.
Detroit Muscle Technologies has gaskets and seals, LMC has a tiny bit of stuff, Rock Auto & Vans Auto have a few things too. Mill Supply has a bunch of sheet metal parts.
Good luck with your truck, and get ready to tone things down in the restoration department. The truck guys are a bare bones kinda crowd. They can't understand why you'd take something apart (when it's not broken) just to re-paint it / re-grease it / upgrade it. It's a different mindset than being a MOPAR car guy.
But, the Trailduster is a super cool vehicle. You might wanna ask your local DMV if ITSNOTABLAZER is available for your plates! I can't tell you how many times I've been asked that.

I might go back to original not sure at this point, there is a guy in the high desert here with a field of early 70 power wagons and some ramchargers was gonna try and talk with him and see if he wants to sell any parts.Yeah, let me know what you need. I am going back to see a guy who is parting out a 75 RC. It still has lots of original stuff on it.
Do you want the original steering wheel, or will you go with an aftermarket piece?
if the rear hatch door for the removable top is in good shape id be interested in that shipped if possible.. if you can get some pix and price for me if its in good shape id appreciate it.Yeah, let me know what you need.
