I used 3/8" but 1/2" would be better. Be sure to use studs instead of bolts!

Our member Prine is a good resource on turboing.
1/4" flanges will work.
3/8" flanges are better.
1/2" is Best..
the The Material the flanges are made of is more important.
Mild Steel...ok.
T304....better.
T321....best.
I recommend the TiG process for welding TURBO HEADERS, but you can stick pipe together with a coat hanger and a torch if you want....but I dont recommend it.

mine are 3/8 t321 stainless as are the tubes. ive never had a leak, i dont use gaskets, ive got about 4000 miles on my kit.

i used 1/2 stainless on my manifolds.. water jetted w5 flanges..
