thats right! if i put my time and effort into this.. its not just gonna leave. Unless its gets stolen but that would be against its choice. haha

i can see why i stuck to cars for so many years. less headaches

plus having a old mopar gets girls to look/notice you... having a gf dont make other girls look lol

cut trunk out and rear frames rails, one is in and welded.... been doing it on my free time

Im likeing this project, itll look great when done :D

well got some more done, i got 1/4 cut off, outer wheel house cut off... wheel house fit. trunk ext fit, 1/4 window working, painted inner structure and have 1.4 trimmed and fit to slide on and be welded shortly...frame rails are are seam sealed alone with the drivers wheel house.

repo panels werent to bad, the 1.4 skins i have for the car came from auto body specialist about 5 years ago(been sitting in attic) along with the trunk extensions and trunk floor.. the outer wheel houses were from a off brand company and took zero trimming. The rear frame rails were from goodmark and fit dead on. The back panel going across the back between the frame rails i used flat stock and made it my self. Thicker metal and only cost me 5 bucks.

I should have the quarter on there very soon and welded, just waiting for rustolem paint to cure up some more, then its off to do the other side.

you think i should keep the slots, i could run a 245 60 14 rear and like a 225 60 in the front, also they will clean up nice, i have a set of slots i buffed up on my vega

i could get wheels from cuda to look like that with some time

You still going to bring it back to the original color or keep it orange? It is coming out sweet so far! I like slot mags too, they are pretty damn simple, but so cool.8) I was gonna do the same on my floorpans, just buy some sheet metal and weld em in when I have the money. its not like they are that hard to shape and itd save my brokeass cash. LOL. Thanks again for the bezels. Btw, just to let you know, AMD is gonna start doing '67-'69 Barracuda stuff soon. I spotted a set of fenders up there last time.:-D

i honestly could care less about value... I'm not into this hobby for money aspects. All the original stuff will be kept in storage if i ever want to go back.

already have the fiberglass aar hood installed, also have fiberglass bumpers going on tonight or tomorrow. ill take some pics..

That's what I like to hear!

Building it your way is better than going back to stock. How many restored Cuda's are out there already?? to many and that's boring IMO. It's not like you are sticking a brand x engine it..now that would be blasphemy lolol

I tell people that if they don't like how I have built a car, they need to go buy their own and build it with their money. Original is fine but don't cut us rodder and fabber types down...

I can appreciate this build 100% because it's what YOU want. I don't give a damn about the value anyways because I'm not in it for that either and part of the Mopar hobby has a terrible infection called "greed"...and you can bet that lot's of people only want their old Mopar's back because of what they would be worth. I build cars that people would probably crush because it's all I can afford..

But then again...we are talking about a guy who is building a straight axle '70 Charger 500 SE 8):-D Purists can go pound sand...

are you serious on a straight axle charger cause if so, dam thats cool. Also i agree with building it how i want, this car won't be sold. I was offered a bit of money by someone in the area thinking they can buy w.e they want.

dartt ur welcome again for the bezels, anything simple i can give you to help you out is no problem to me, Amd stuff isnt bad, i got a set of trunk braces looks nice.. As for a 67-69 cuda mines clean, unless it gets hit i dont need no sheet metal. And for color i have no idea i like hemi orange.... you have any idea or ideas on color, i dont really like petty blue.

I rather start off with what i did and build it how i want it (or well what money allows) and in the end i know no hidden cob jobs, and i did all the work

im doing aar, black hood, top of fenders, tail panel and strobe strip, aar spoilers.. Im also gonna put like nascar style hold down out of aluminum around front and rear window, My name like Driver Ronny Conklin above door on the roof...

i want a loud stick out color, Hemi orange.. Id do it green but have green cuda already, as for plum crazy my formula s is that color. Not a fan of yellow....

Serious as a heart attack bro :-D....

How about this blue??
Neon_Blue.jpg

Sure as hell is bright and would definately go along with that theme if you did text above the door in a vintage style in white with an orange shadow.

ehh dartt that blue dont do it for me, i might go with hemi orange but see if paint mixer can leave the metallic out of it

Yeah. I had a feeling you weren't much of a blue person:toothy10: Im sure its possible. Its an additive just like the pigment so im sure it'd be just as easy as changing the color when mixing. You are doing such a badass job dude

yea i can have it mixed how ever i want, local napa paint mixer is a good friend of mine. And thanks for saying im doing good, im trying.. just alot to be done on this one. Tomorrow ill be taking grill and fenders off...

Well, be sure to post some pics8). Haha, we all need positive support otherwise we just sit and stew and criticize until you are so demotivated that you hardly wanna look at it.
