So I have a 1998 Dodge Ram. 90k miles and really a decent truck. I have replaced inner and outer rockers and cab corners.
So now I want to pull the bed, remove everything from the frame and sandblast it all and coat it with something durable. What would be recommended to coat the bare metal with. I want this truck to outlast me.

Just wire brush the loose scale and clean it then apply some POR15 on it. Stuff works great on slightly rusty metal but won't stick to clean nice metal. I used it on a camaro sub frame and suspension 6 years ago. It looked good and was durable.
