or is a stock replacement good enough? Since i am rebuilding my second engine i need a pump i can trust. Engine is stock, no boost, no stroker. for now...

I wonder the same thing. Bought a 27,000 miles 6.1 with a spun rod bearing and need to know what to replace

up again. The pump of my old engine is destroyed. The pump from my sec engine has minor marks inside of the housing below the Rotors from a metal particle which got sucked into the pumb. I don't think it will cut oil pressure but since i replace everything i will replace the pump as well.

OEM pumps are very expensive here in Germany ( 450 EUR / 500 USD )

What about those Melling pumps? Are they worth it? Summit sells them for 130 USD for OEM Standard and 150 USD for HP/HV. For that Money i would import one.

i just ordered the Melling 10342. It is not a HV pump but offers to replace the Bypass spring to maintain the pressure. It is here in Germany for EUR 210 which are approx 230 USD. (incl shipping and taxes )
My best Quote for a OEM pump was EUR 450. This is more than twice of the Melling .....
