OOPS! I think I made a BOO BOO!!

I replaced the steering wheel on my 67 Valiant to the sport wheel for that year and while I was at it I installed the blinker switch and there were to bolts under the collar that I took the nuts off of and the bolts dropped into column ,now the collar is loose and the linkage is locked up..HELP me please she's my daily driver!!
Does anyone have a diagram or experience here?
how do I pull the collar off?

How I did it was put a magnet through hole and try to align and pull through hole and hold in place with small skinny screw driver,Good luck Kevin.
