OPINION: GENERAC 5550 Wheelhouse Generator

Anyone have one of these..?

I'm looking to pick one up for $250.00, in like-new shape, from my wife's cousin.

It will be used at jobsites to run 120v Test Instruments, a set of portable Lights and a Rigid 6.5hp Blower-Vac..

I wonder how easy it will be to load and fit into my 1991 Jeep Cherokee.

Any comments..?

I just bought a new generator on sale,it,s 3000/4000 and I find it,s very quite.$250 sounds like a steal for 5500,check to see how lound it is first.JMO

For $250 good deal. Plug a couple of things into it and run them, see if it can handle it. Generac I believe is a good name, see the bigger ones up here everywhere as standby units. Make sure you can still get parts for it by going to the Generac website.
