I have wanted to make a custom 4 speed trans using the Overdrive gears, but utilize the more interchangeable earlier cast iron case and pilot retainer. Here is one I offer for sale. This is rebuilt with new bearings (307), seals, brass rings, all with a great set of gears. I preserved using the Aluminum extension housing and includes the shifter mount. I installed a new rear bushing. The main shaft is the large spline. I had read of DaveBonds write up on doing this, but I am not sure if has been completed. I have been working on 833's for years, and I finally got around to doing this. This setup makes it simplier to install in a pre-OD, bellhousing. I offer this first on FABO for $650 fob Seattle.
PM me if you have questions.
