I've painted my metal interior with 2k rattlecan..SprayMax..
Dash, interior doors and sail panels painted with Hot Rod Satin Black. I know the doors and sail panels should be "gloss" but I was kinda digging the satin look...BUT now I'm thinking I may want to go ahead and spray them gloss.. so my question is, how do I prep them..? Just a light scuff on the paint then spray ..? Light wet sand and spray..? Do I need to reapply primer..? What if I just spray some gloss clear on those pieces..? Again, it's 2k rattlecan paint with catalyst..
Thanks in advance..!

I would scuff and spray gloss. I used the gray scotch bright to scuff my dash before I sprayed it. I didn't primer it probably should have but I just sanded the rough spots and scuffed the rest. Then sprayed with the rustoleum metallic color of my choice. Same with all the plastic pieces and trim.

Flat, or semi may not be filled enough with the gloss paint. If it is not sanded to a flat surface. The paint should be sanded with 360-400 wet, primed, to fill. Then sanded ( if a sandable primer is used) and painted for best results.

#800 and clear or you could simply polish them to a gloss finish.
