Anyone have any recommendations for painting the back of my fenders ? Should I spray them body color, Por15 or maybe some 3M rubberized under coating ?

what I do on my fneders...

coat entire back with por 15 after sandblasting...

"band" in the color I am painting the car..

i'd say you really need some rust prevention back there for any type of street vehicle.

I agree with DJVCUDA, you really need some rust preventative back there. I have restored mopars for a long time in my business (Redline Restorations), and I also use POR 15 on all the fenders I do. I blast them, coat with the POR 15 and paint them body color. They just look cleaner and the last a whole lot longer that way.

Thanks guys, I need some POR15 for the K frame so I'll get enough to do the back side of the fenders too.

I blasted mine and then epoxy primered them, (nasty stuff), then 2 coats of Tremclad the same color as the body. Tremclad is very similar to Rustolium.

I just PORed the back of mine along with some other parts about 20 mins ago.

WEAR RUBBER GLOVES!!!!!!! 2 ON EACH HAND!!!!!! I love por-15 but damn it takes 3 weeks for all of it to get off your skin and forget about it comming off clothes.
