putting new seals in the 69 dart. all the auto parts stores part #s for the pitman shaft form 67 through 76 show to be #6859S . as you all know the 67-72 had a smaller pitman shaft...the 73 -76 dart or a body had a larger pitman shaft.
this 6859S seal is for the larger 73-76 and is posted to say it fits all of them. It obviously will not fit in the 67-72.
all of the kits have the right seals in them....it is only when you buy the individual seal by itself that it is wrong......every auto parts store and national seal's parts book is wrong on this..........does anyone know of the correct part # for the 69 dodge dart smaller pitman shaft seal because it is definetly NOT 6859S
