Any body know how many different pivot shafts were used in A body mopars?I have a 64 Dart changing over front disk brakes and rebuilding front end.The 64 LCA is one size the 74 pivot shaft is thicker. Both of mine are 6cyc cars. Are the ones in the V8 darts even heaver duty:violent1:..

The LCA pins/shafts should be the same on both cars whether /6 or V8...

Could there be a sleeve stuck on 1 of the pins ?

Get the pivot shaft that has a grease fitting on it. That you can lube that lower bushing and use a poly lower bushing.

I have heard of 2 different pivot shafts. Difference was in the diameter step spacing and length. Both used the same bushings. I'm not sure if I saved a pic. Was a long time ago.

Yes there are two. Found this out in 1997.

One with an egg shaped shoulder will not accept a poly bushing conversion. But they will both work with stock bushings. The one with the egg shaped shoulder I think is a 1970's piece.

The one in the center is the egg shaped one.
