Pony Express 130

For those unfamiliar with the race its one of the open road races the have in Nevada every year. One of my dreams is to run a Mopar (preferrably an A-body) in this event. Maybe one day soon if I decide to move to Vegas :cheers:

Do they have an open 1 mile track? 2 miles? Public highway closed off? Tell us more about this event. I am guessing they have a few spectators. How far away from the roadway are they? Do people lose control of these cars. These are some pretty fast times! That 3000# vehicle is going to go a loooonng way before it stops! :shock:

It's a closed off section of highway in Northern Nevada. To compete in the higher classes you need to have a racing licence or have competed in open road racing before. Your car also has to pass tech to determine which class your car will be able to compete in. They also have a medivac helicopter on site just incase something happens.

Sounds like a kick in the butt. I want to do it! I think I have a set of 2.7's around somewhere. Put the tall gears in it, mask it up and away we go! :cheers:
