Do you remember WHICH Rancho 9000 shocks you used? Did they have the springs on them in the rear? Were they adjustable in the front like 90/10 shocks?? Thanks. This is all new to me as I've never tried to "hook" a stock car at the drag strip before. Back when I raced it was a Super Gas Camaro. There were no leaf springs!!! I'm lost..........

Finally got the car out for the first time and ran within 2/100 of what I thought it would. Should pick up 2-3/10’s at our home track once it opens.

I know there’s more left but not many guys switch from off road racing to drag racing and build a car in less than a year. Yet alone drive 12 hours and run 10’s first time out. Congratulations my friend. Great job.

That was fun hanging with you & finally seeing the car...get faster and faster and faster.
Hopefully I'll be posting here shortly as well

By then bill will be in the 9’s. Lol
With the right converter, exhaust and air cleaner removed, I might be able to crack into the 9's. I have a ton of weight I could pull out of the car as well. Probably a good thing I also run in a class with a 10.0 limit.... lol

With just collector extensions no air filter & brakes that would hold to 4k on the 2 step (or your foot stay on the pedal lol) I would bet money you would have ran 10.00

.30 starts getting pretty hard at that ET. But I’m sure you’ll find it.

Yup, I get it however I picked up 2/10's just from upping my launch RPM from 3000 to 3600. I'm going to try 4000 next time out. Plus it should pick up at least a tenth just going to my home track so that with removing the exhaust and air cleaner, getting the tune right with the right converter for my combo, it should put me right there.... Of course that's on paper and not real world. lol

I don't know about being a good driver. I couldn't cut a light to save my ***! I made 6 passes total all weekend and went red on 5 of them. lol

I had 2 -.002's in the red and 1 -.010 red. Twice, my foot slipped off the brake pedal (me standing on it to hold the car....lol) first one was -.110 red and 2nd was a -.094 red in round 2 of eliminations. Only green I had was a .046 in the 2nd qualifier on Saturday.

That's your old *** brake pedal flexing.
When that's where you want it , you won't be red lighting. Just accept it bro lol
