Has anyone successfully modified a power antenna kit to work with the stock chrome fender bezel.

Installing an aftermarket radio in the glovebox and it sure would be nice to throw the car cover on without having to remove the antenna.

Kit type and pics would be awesome.

Thanks

on my 78 Magnum I just replaced mine with those antenna that can be pushed up and down. Oh, I did get rid of the factory trim nut, big deal. What it came with looks just fine, find a nos 70's or 80's antenna and it have real chrome or stainless steel

Power antenna's are heavier and break-freeze up when cold. Its a breeze just to push the antenna up or down and most times I just leave it a 1/4 ways up and it pulls in the local stations just fine

I installed one from a 1989 Ford Probe in my '74 Duster.

It reused the chrome bezel for the duster (no modifications). I just had to make a metal bracket to bolt the assembly to one of the splash shield bolt holes
