My 03 ram with a 5.7 hemi is putting out two fault codes first is PO300 Random/multiple cylinder misfire and the second is PO301 cylinder #1 misfire.
The plugs where checked and looked okay.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing the misfire?

I was wondering if it might be the coil pack causing both codes seeing how one pack controls two cylinders.

Here's a picture of the coil (at least I think it's the coil), it looks like the wires have been getting hot the wrapping around them looks deteriorated. Hard to see the plug wire but I'll check it out.

Oops, forgot the pic

Yeah I'd swap those wires out and see if that stops the code. Is this a high mile engine? They have a good amount of valve spring breakages on these stock 03's

It has 86,000 on it. That was one of the things that the emissions tech that worked on it was thinking. He wanted to do a leak down test on it.

The gooofassed structure of the coding of hte PCM will always these 2 codes together.
Those are stock wires and as such are most likely crapped out on you.
Replace the wires. Check the connectors on the coil packs and the CPS making sure they are tight. Check your plugs for fouling while you are at it.
