Pump it down

Finished my scarebird brake conversion(very happy with it),now on to the next thing on my list.I want to try adding shims to the valve in my power steering pump to get more road feel as done Mopar Muscle,Pump it down.Has any body tried it here?and are you happy with results?

I did it and it worked great. Put a pan under the car and you don't even have to take the pump out. I used a 0.062 inch washer and now I can just turn the wheel at idle, sitting still, using two fingers. It use to be one finger with no effort. It makes a huge difference for road feel. Change the upper control arms to get the right caster and it will give better feel than a modern car.

Cool,I'm going to do it this weekend,I'd do it tonight but cold n rainy here.I can deal with the cold but the dampness gets me.Any place in particular to get the washers?I was going to try using cooper brake washers.
