Is now an NHRA sanctioned track. Spent the past couple Saturdays at the track scraping paint off the walls. First Friday Night No Prep is going to be held on April 28th, hopefully. The manager is busting his *** trying to get things ready. Sadly the facility was vandalized over the winter. Damn near every piece of copper wire was stolen. One of the transformers had the aluminum feed wires cut. From what I was told yesterday an electrician came out and took a look, new was not good. Transformer needs to be replaced. Estimate for the transformer and rewire is up around $75k. Because it was part of the vandalism that occurred it will be covered by insurance. A company has been hired to fix a few humps in the drag strip, the rather large crack in the burnout box/staging area will also be repaired. Company is also going to fix all the expansion joints on the road course.
