The R5P7 adapter plate makes it possible to utilize a very high hp engine for a very reasonable price. The R5P7 engines have flooded the market and are being sold for under $10k. Thats almost a 900 hp engine for under $10k. You cant build one for that.
With this adapter plate you can mount any stock mopar bell housing to the R5. The 727, 904 and 833. You can also bolt a powerglide to this plate. No special flywheels or starters are needed. You can use stock mopar mini starter and flywheel or torque convertor. So from street rod to race, you can bolt the trans that will best suit your needs.
The plate is made from 6061 billet aluminum. The crank spacer is made from 1045 billet steel. This plate comes with all the hardware to attach the plate to the block and the adapter to the crank. Due to various bell housings, flywheels, flex plates and their varying dimensions of thickness, you will have to provide your own grade 8 hardware to attach these components to the plate and crank shaft.
Crank spacer will vary depending on application.
