rear spring shock mount plates?

I was wondering if anyone knew what mounts I need I took out a 7 1/4 and am replacing it with a 8 3/4 1970 duster....I need to use the bigger u bolts so my mount plates are too small without taking the die grinder to them and plating them ,...just wondering what cars would have the mounts I need or who sells them?...and would a set out of a 1968 charger work?

Charger ones should work.

I salvaged a set of 8.25 shock mounts from an A body at the local wrecking yard - worked just fine with 8.75 rear.

If you decide to go this route be aware that the nuts on the U-bolts are very difficult to remove. I brought liquid wrench and a die to clean the threads first. Then used a good breaker bar to get the bolts turning.

I would just cut the u bolts I already have nice new shiny ones...
