Whats the best way of removing exhaust studs. I've got about 8 of them sticking out of my 452 heads and would like to get them out. Thanks in advance!

You do know that those studs go into water territory in the heads, right? That's why those particular holes use studs instead of bolts.

To remove them, if you're still so inclined, :)

Put 2 nuts on the stud, tighten the outside one TIGHT against the inner one, then use the inner one to unscrew the stud.

Thats the way I used to do it but figured there might be a better way- guess not! The engine is still on the stand and wont have any water in it till its in the car with the new headers on it so I shouldnt piss any water anywhere for now- thanks for the tip!

you can use 2 nuts and lock one against each other or kragens or autozone rents stud removers
