Repair arm rests mounting tab...possible?

On my 66 dart sedan, I am trying to refresh the old arm rests. As I take the off, I now see that several of the mounting holes in the arm rests is cracked/broken. Is there any sort of may to strengthen those 2 plastic tabs that the screws go through to the panel? Seems sorta cheap design, as one strong pull/push of the door using the armrest will break the mount. So old and brittle. Just wondering if anyone has figured out something to strengthen that point. Epoxy? washer sandwich??
