Looking at the replacement original style AGM batteries. I have a '69 barracuda, 318, factory a/c.
There are 2 listed. Green caps, or yellow caps but they don't specify what the difference is.
How do I tell which one I need for my application?
Thanks, Pete.

Look at the cold cranking amperage and amp hour rating, and make your decision from there.

You did not say what car you have, you want an orginal looking Mopar battery, A Body should be Green, I believe that Yellow would be an E Body.

My OP stated the car is a '69 Barracuda. 'CRUZE418' states it should be green. Both the green and yellow cap batteries offer the same CCA of 750, and offer no application based on the cap colour. Just wondering.... green or yellow? :realcrazy:

Originally green and yellow caps were rated differently but were same outside dimensions. The red cap was higher rating and physically larger. Now- the difference between green and yellow caps are only the color of the caps. This allows me to select which color cap came originally on my car. Most cars had green caps, but my car having a BB motor had the more "heavy duty" yellow cap battery.

My '69 Dart with AGM green cap.
'72 with a dress up kit on a regular battery, be careful on the battery you buy, overall for looks and where the positive and negative posts are.
