Hey guys,

today i took my rocker shafts out of the storage. thought about the orientation of the oiling holes under each rocker. In my opinion these holes should point towards the exhaust, then the hole is where the force is applied. Is this correct?

the shafts are set up with crane ductile rockers, i got them from a fellow member here. it seems that one shaft is done wrong, the oil holes point to the intake. If i´m right then i have to turn around all the rockers on this shaft.

The other shaft is done different, oil holes point towards exhaust - correct in my opinion.

Thanks to my fabo friends for some information!

Point the oil holes towards the valve springs, so yes that would be towards the exhaust. They have notches in one end each. The notches orient down and to the rear for the passenger's side and down and to the front for the driver's side.

They have been imstalled wrong before. If the location of the notch is front of the left head it will be the rear of the right head. Just another good reason to have a service manual.
