hi person looking at your computer screen, i want to ask you a question. actually two. first, 360 recently built up, 9.5 comp, .48 somethin lift, dual plane intake, eddy carb, and rebuilt stock distributor about 8 months ago. 2200 stall convertor. funny thing is, same thing was going on with the old tired 318. rebuilt carb, same distributor
when i pull up to a red light and idle for a minute, the purple v8 likes to "burp n cough", almost like its forgetting to fire a cylinder. if i hold down the happy pedal, idles smooth at about 950rpm. idle right now is 850. if i throw it in nuetral without touchin the pedal it iddles smooth at 900 somethin. what gives, drives smooth otherwise. does this sound like ignition or carb to you? maybe vacumn?
also, everytime you start your car does the gas guage go down from the last time you drove it? every single time i stop (weather from 10 min to 7 hours) when i go to drive somewhere my gas guage is down from the last time. sticky gas gauge?
