I got a new 8.25" rear end from a junk yard so I can switch to LBP. On top of the differential housing (pumpkin) there's a bracket with a slot where a bump stop would go, but the bump stop is missing. Any idea where I can find one? What is it called? Or can I use the existing one on my 7.25" rear?

Pinion snubber bushing is what you are after it sounds like. Should able to find them on eBay or rock auto

Just to clarify, I'm only looking for the rubber part. I have the metal bracket piece of it.

The rubber piece, Pinion Snubber bushing, I swear I bought mine for Advance Auto, will pull my records and double check.

It's the rubber stop on the pinion snubber.... Really it is....

OK. On dippy.org I found a post where a guy had the part number: 3845139. Searching "3845139 bumper" turned up a parts diagram (for a 1986 Fifth Avenue) where it's called "bumper w/o support." The part is discontinued but it's available from partszoneonline.com and mmpar.com.
