sealant on intake studs?

it looks like the intake/exhaust studs go into coolant passages. do i need to put any kind of sealant on the threads to keep them from leaking?

Well some do and some dont.But I always put black rtv there anyway .So do it than you wont wonder down the road.

I use Ultra Black (Permatex) on almost everything.

And I use the Red hi temp. Remember to use anti seize on the treads for the nuts and ONLY 10 FT/LBS.
