Does anybody know what product works best to restore a 69 Dart black seat belt buckle? It has peeled off and seems like it is more of a plastic coating than paint because it peels off in long pieces.

sem landau black - stuff is awesome and can be used for plastic trim as well.
I just looked at that paint. It looks like normal paint instead of a plastic type coating that the buckles appear to have. Is there product that resembles the original coating?
I'm not sure but.. 67 had a huge chrome plated belly burner buckle.
Same buckle in 68 except chrome was replaced with a vinyl skin glued on just like the 67 had on the seat backs. I think that same buckle and treatment was used in 69. If so you can try vinyl and contact cement to renew them.
