I've been doing some digging and turns out I can get a carb linkage adapter instead of running new cables.

I'm planning on swapping in a Edelbrock and have found a linkage adapter part # 1481. That will allow me to use the stock setup.

Does anybody have any experience with this setup?

If you already have a four barrel, the adapter will allow you to use your stock linkage as is. If you're converting from a two barrel, you'll need a four barrel throttle cable bracket or modify the one you have to move the cable clamp forward an inch or two, plus lengthen the kickdown rod.
