I need some advice on shipping 4 tires. I tried to price the shipping on the UPS web site, but I'm not sure if I need to click the "Additional Handling" box.
I plan to ship the tires with only a lable taped to each tire.

Yes on the "additional handling" box. And put each in a big bag or card board. I would suggest taking them to a real UPS center and get the real shipping price. I have had them tack on an extra big fee cause they can !

This is how it’s done, just a label.

The tires I have received were just plastic wrapped with a label.

I buy daily driver (actually all my tires) tires direct and they come shipped in pairs, banded together.

Must be an incentive to do it that way. I'd ask about it.

The online UPS and FedEx shipping calculators are showing me some crazy shipping prices.
Shipping from Western New York tothe Boston area.
FedEx: $146 per tire.

UPS ground: $48 per tire.
If I click the "Special Handling" box on their web site, the price jumps to $67 per tire.

This is for a F70-14 tire only, no rim.
