63 Valiant: driven daily 9 months out of the year. The boot on the ball and trunion joint dried up and ripped off. I had this replaced about 6 years ago, the guy who did it for me had a ***** of a time but seemed to enjoy the challenge. What are the advantages of changing. I just putz around town on local roads and drive like the old man I am. Thoughts?
 
Driven that much you could only be better off with a standard style driveline.
 
Any way of adapting a newer CV split boot to repair what is already installed?
