single pin / 3 pin conversions

On a 1965, I'm going from the single pin NSS (neutral safety switch) to a later trans with the 3 pin NSS. Once I find a 3 pin pigtail....what should my wiring mod be?
I want to keep the NSS function.

All you need to hook up is the center pin. The outer pins are for the reverse lights. The older cars had the reverse light switch on the shifter. Make sure you get a switch for a 69-70 model. Sometime after that they changed the rooster comb in the trans. and their can be interference issues if you try to use a newer style switch on a old style trans.

BTW: NAPA sells that pigtail for about $20 if I'm not mistaken. The other auto parts chain stores might even have it cheaper. Just tell them you want a neutral safety switch pigtail for a 69 or 70 Cuda or Dart or just about any Mopar /6 or V8 in that time frame
