Smallmouth are in presque isle bay erie had a great day caught fish all day long great day!

What was the bait of choice ? color if it was a lure ? How deep ?.

they come in and spawn caught in5 10 ft water got about a month and they head back out in lake they are a blast to catch they were hitting everything!love lake erie!!!!

nice fishing , gotta love the head start on the smallmouth season eh ! , 20 inch minimum keepers means some nice little fillets off what you do keep even if it is only 1 per day .

If your ever looking for new water to fish Lake Champlain (around Plattsburgh NY) has some great small mouth fishing. I was up there this past weekend and we did very well. One of the guys we were with got a 6 pounder
