I guess the forum is ok for this.
Have you ever heard of Bathurst home of Mt Panorama race circuit in a central west town of NSW Australia.
The video I think you racing nuts out there may be interested in features cars in preparation for the 500 mile race in 1970 it's in black and white but the quality is good. The show is really a current affair program but they dedicated a nearly half an hour featuring the race.
The Mopars in this film with the square headlights are know
As VG Pacers they have the new 6cyl hemi engine 245 ci and they were up against 351 GTHO Fords and some GM 350 powered monaros and GM Torana's powered with 186 6cylinders. So do a search for "Bathurst the big three 4 corners 1970"
The second vid is about 10 min it is inside a VG PACER with Tilly at the wheel in a historic event at Bathurst he does about three laps at full noise.
The car in the rocks at the top of the mountain is a GM MONARO.
You guys should love the front wheel air as the pacer goes left real hard at the end of Conrod straight. Even back then the cars were reaching 200mph. There is not very much run off to find out your brakes got off the car half way back up the straight in the second film the Conrod straight had the chase put in but still guys have died here to.
So do a search Pacer at Bathurst.
Another to look at is Muscle car masters there is heaps of races form recent years look out for any Bathurst ones gives you a better look at the elevations these cars go through time after time.
