Hey All

Like everyone else, I'm having trouble with my fuel and temp gauges.

I replaced the instrument regulator. After that, my alt gauge works better strangely, but my fuel and temp gauges seem to work less. The needles rest all the way at the left. Did I fry them somehow?

Does this radio interference suppressor provide the ground for the regulator?

People say another cause for problems with these gauges is that the instrument cluster ground could be bad (but they don't say where it is). I don't think that's it, since I have turn signals, dash lights, etc, but I'm kind of at a loss at this point.

Have you had them rebuilt? If not it may be time. After all they are going on 30 to 40 years old. The cluster is grounded throu the dash. If your lights are working that ant it. Could be bad or loose conection some where. Or the pins on your circuit borde are loose or coroded. It could allso be the sender in the tank for the fule and the temp sender in the motor for the temp.
