Just won as pair of the correct new repo ones off of ebay for $57 shipped.

If that one is junk, here are a few other brands.

Also if you have an old breather that needs new guts, just chuck the breather into a lathe and cut it off the cap at the crimp. Then just glue the cap on top of another breather. I have not tried this, but would bet it would work just fine.

Seems tractors use the same breather. If you have a tractor repair place near by, they may know of some chrome ones for guys restoring Ford 9N's.

All close but "no cigar" The Studebaker one looks like the ticket but I would like to see what it looks like under the sticker. It sounds like 604 wants one like the original. tmm

I think I did OK. Got two of the correct ones for the same price as most ask for just one. We will see when they get hear.

Keep us posted. I hope they're the ones you want. tmm

MoparLarry needs to find the focus button on his camera LOL.

Well received the repo ones today. Junk! Look nice on the outside, and correct. But the foam is practically nonexistent. Dose not even cover the holes. Would let dirt and bugs into the engine. What a disappointment. Now I get the fun for trying to return them.

Any one try the repos that ma mopar sells? Is the filter any better?

Well I fixed them up. Should work A OK. Turned out the foam was wrapped to tight in the manufacture proses and stuck. All I had to do was stick a pick in there and unwrap it so it could expand. Look OK now.

It had one, as it is a CA car. So it had the "clean air" package. But I removed it and put it on a shelf. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't the clean air cars the only one with them in 65?

Looks good, question though.. No PVC ?

I dont know the answer for that one. I've heard that the early valve was placed on top of a beather cap because the valve covers didn't have baffles in them. I dont know if thats so either.
Before PVC the crankcase inhaled and exhaled under the hood. The exhale was more a oily vapor that air polution. In fact , burning that oily vapor polutes the air as much or more. The main advantage we got from PCV routing is keeping the engine bay cleaner.

I asked Larry a few days ago if these were chrome and he said no, they were painted black, hope this is what you wanted.

Thanks Keith. Hoping for no dents. Have a small part's powder coat operation now(no competition for you Leanna). Two other breather's plus this one and a non commando aircleaner top I picked up at Carlisle are all getting my first experimental reflective chrome coat. Stay tuned for results.

I also asked him if they had any dents, dings, or rust, he said no

Sounds like they should work great!
