Why not? I know before guys were using splits they would move the carbs forward on the manifold and they picked up power on the dyno (a pretty good amount but I can’t remember what it was) but it picked up even more in the car. The fuel was migrating to the back of the plenum making the front cylinders lean and the rear cylinders rich. That cleaned it up.
Of course, the splits made it even better because the venturi’s could be lined up directly over the port opening.
I can’t think of a reason why they wouldn’t work on the street if you spend the time to sort them out. Plus it would just be cool as all get out.
