steering column rubbing issues

I recently replaced my out of wack K-Frame with one that is in good form. Now I have this issue of the steering column shaft rubbing the outer sleeve of the trans gear lever. Is this a alignment issue with the new k-frame and power steering box, or is the problem in my steering column?? Here's a pic to show what I'm dealing with.

I would say loosen all the column mounting bolts top and bottom center it and lock the bolts down.

Oh man I hope its that simple! I will be a happy camper if so! Ill try that if I get called off of work tomorrow.

Yeah, there's enough play in the firewall bracket to account for that, but you want to loosen the three nuts on the upper bracket so that it can move.
