Steering gear box

This might be dumb question but this is first time dealing with a steering box. Is there's something missing here? I seen a post about some valve in there

Rebuild box from summit racing $109, at least that's what I did. Otherwise get the manual, its available on line for free.

what are we looking at? and what year?

It's 73 dart and the pic is where the low pressure hose part bolts on. I read people talking about a adjustable valve in there so not sure if it's in there or goes in that big hole

Be careful with that valve because, it centers the steering box. Had mine off, due to a leak and put it back together. I reach thru the steering wheel, to start the car and the wheel grabbed my arm, thought it was gonna break my fingers. Stupid mistake on my part, but anyways, once the valve was centered, all was good. Be more careful than I was!

Can't be careful if I don't even know if it's in or not can't get straight answer if it's in or not in pic :/

Just O-rings go there to seal it to the VB. They go on the part not shown. Two, a large and a small.
