stock 273 pistons?

I have a 68 dart 270 as far as I could tell this engine has never been opened
Up. How far out of the cylinders do the pistons stick out....
Btw 2bbl 273 automatic. I was of the thought that they were down in the hole
Insted of out .
Thoughts?

Should be about flush give or take about .020... If original hydraulic cam and open chambered heads.

hi, how many valve notches in tops? are they flat top piston or have a small dome? 2 bbl pistons will be down in bores. 4 bbl pistons will sit above deck some. just food for thought.

Was a 2bbl but the slugs have 4 valve notches. I believe they stick out .0129
