I believe this has been asked before but could not find a definite answer. So, once more; were the stock 1963-66 rims painted black or the body color?

if i remember correctly if the car had full wheel covers the wheels were black.. if the car had dog dishes the wheels were body color.. think that ended somewhere around 72 and they all went black.

Black, always. But that doesn't mean that you can't do it differently.

Rims were not always black. Full wheel coves were black rims. Dog dishes got body color wheels till like 72. Then they all went black
