Has china been putting the clamps on the us too?

I think that the terrifs that Trump is putting on the imported stuff is making is more cost effective for the companies to move their operations back to the US...

The teriffs offset the lower labor costs to make manufacturing in the US more appealing...

Kinda partial to big bore short stroke motors here. The B blocks aren't so bad, the RBs sure complicate matters. A friend of mine in the old country had a Coronet with a 361 in it. He'd put a $20 on the dash board "If you can reach it, it's yours." About then he'd nail it and nail you so far back in the seat that $20 was a lost cause  on your part.

My dad had a 62 sport Fury convertible with a 361 back in the day that he loved... :D

He special ordered the 361, then after he got his, they came out with the 383 in it.... :BangHead: :wtf:  :mob:

I just want to know who is leading the "scoop contest"??
"BAD ***"
Wrong color but trying....
I'm shooting for the bottle....
Still totally undecided! I am now thinking I might wait and drive it a bit before deciding. On plus side I will do it decal style so in the event I want to change I can. Kind of like we grew up in bike world, we would always rattle can our bikes and once it became a bit to familiar to folks we would just rattle can them a different color! Hah!

My Mom had a new one what a piece of pooh. I remember it overheated on the way home from the dealer.
My Dad popped the hood and it didn't have any belts...she was PISSED!!
Called the dealer and gave them an ear full...haha!!

When my dad bought his 67 Barracuda 383 Formula S 4 speed, he pulled out of the dealer's lot and ran out of gas... The dealer refused to give him a gallon so he could make it to a gas station to fill up, so he ended up arguing with the owner's son on the showroom for a half hour and after watching some customers walk out when they figured out what was happening, dad left and walked to the gas station and bought some gas in a can to get him to the station to fill up...

He never went back to that dealer...

They eventually went out of business...

Hey Karl. I want to officially congratulate you on your new position here at FABO. Can we call you "Chief"

Morning. folks. Spent a long day with family and friends yesterday. Drank WAY too much (and I don't say that often). Had a great time. Now I'm ready for all these people to get out of my house and get back to the new normal..

You drank WAY too much????

I'm going to do a how to build a small block thread with the build that my son and I are doing....

So I asked Joey if I could be a Technical Editor again so I can make and edit my threads for the How-To section...

Thanks to member @Sedanman we got the crank in the 360 last night...

I called him and asked if he had any main bearing bolts and he said,"No"... :(

But then after a little conversation with him, he stated that he had a windage tray with bolts for sale... WTF??? Why didn't he say that earlier when I asked if he had any spare main bearing bolts??? :wtf:

Hell Yeah!!! We'll take it...

So I set up with the son to go get the windage tray and bolts while Doug and I fixed my truck....

He's working on a 72 Satellite and we were able to trade some of the B-body parts that Hoppy alerted me on and I picked up the other week... Thanks @halifaxhops

Doug put the new pitman arm on (we had to remove the steering box to do it), new driver's side wheel hub, new radiator (the brand new one came with the water neck cracked and we had to exchange it for another one after finding the cracked water neck AFTER installing the radiator... Luckily we didn't fill the antifreeze yet).... And the new brake pads.... We noticed they were worn when doing the wheel hub, and with Doug having to make 3 runs to the parts store, it was too convenient for him to grab a set of pads for the front brakes....

It was pretty late by the time Keegan got back from swapping parts with Chuck, but we were able to get the crank measured (plastic gauged) and installed... Here it is, ready for the pistons... We plan to install the pistons in it today...
