WOW ! I would love to have that on my parts shelf, even if it didn't hold a charge. Cant afford it so please excuse my drool.
 
Don't be afraid to make an offer! I'm not sure WIW since I can't find anything like it. I have been told if you get the electrolyte from napa or wherever it should be good as new, and last a few years or whatever battery life was back 40 + years ago.

Who the hell kept that thing around for 30 years?
 
Could you post a few measurements of your battery? I googled it, all I got is it it a large truck battery. If I understand you correctly this has never been filled? Or used?
 
no never used or filled. its the same size as my 68 Roadrunner batt, groupe 27 is a common size for larger cars and trucks, its 750 cca red cap, the group 24 is the size smaller 550cca yellow cap. ill get measurements over the weekend. only thing that might be a date is on the top you can see some sort of stamp. I dont think this is a repop, i havent seen any repops other than mopar ford and GM, guy i got it from said he cleaned out a closing 66 station in the mid 80's he had a few of the late 70's 80's vintage batterys with the big square caps
