I have a 71 duster speedo cable is bouncing. I have the cluster out. I have never pulled a speedo cable. Can I just pull it out from the housing and then just slide it back in after its greased.thanks for any help

Pull the cable out, clean it & the housing with carb cleaner or brake clean until both a spotless, then use a good molybdenum sulfide grease on the cable & slide it back in. I've heard people use graphite, but I've always done as described as above.
