This is the second thing I want to change in my "new" car - the first was to remove all of the window tint, did that yesterday. This is a 71 340 car, factory bucket console car. When Mike Allen had it it had the factory shifter in it, that's what I want back in it. Somewhere along the line a pistol grip stalk was installed - man is this clunky to work, it's gotta go! The trans has a manual valve body but not a reverse pattern 1>2>3 like Mopar intended it to be.

I have the factory shifter to go back in, I'm hoping this is as easy as I hope it's going to be. Any "gotcha's" to look out for?

Is that the same car from the mag? I remember it from back then if it is...
Where’s the rear spoiler?

No telling what your in for until you remove the console. Hopefully just a bolt in swap.

I found a box among the MANY boxes of spares that came with this car. It looks like it has the Duncan Motor Sports Pistol Grip shifter handle on it, I have the instructions so it should be (in air quotes) a pretty straight forward swap - we'll see, I plan and God Laughs...
