Reminds of the time I went to see an aluminum front end '64 426 wedge (for sale) in Salinas, CA circa 1975. The owner warned me not to lean on the front fenders because they could give way under my own weight. Had the push button Torqueflite.

I have been trying to remember the guys name forever and a day, maybe it was Cecil, not sure. Before my time, drag races were set up at the Salinas Airport once in awhile, with timing lights I believe.

Found a foto of a "Cecil Yoder" on the Max Wedge website. I wonder if that is the same guy I was thinking about in post #2 above? Anybody heard of him?
